“God is not the author of confusion, but of peace” (1 Corinthians 14:33).
I ran across this bible verse a few months ago and it has been living rent-free in my mind.
After, I read it I immediately googled the definition of confusion.
Confusion: lack of understanding, uncertainty.
As soon as read the verse my response was, " well, who is the author?"
I'll provide my answer in the upcoming podcast.
Sometimes trying to navigate through where you stand with someone is a confusing task. Whether you single, dating or in a relationship, even family and friendships can be murky water. Words and actions not lining up can cause a lot of confusion.
Confusion leads to being stagnant.
When I am confused, I stand still. In your time of confusion, it may feel like you're a fork in the road, you don't have enough clarity to choose either way so you stay at the fork.
And you know what thrives in confusion? Deception.
Deception: the act of causing someone to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid.
Being unclear with intentions brings forth confusion and borderline deception. If you don't know someone’s complete intentions how are you making an informed decision? Making decisions without all the information is like driving under the influence, judgment impaired, confusion about things that are usually familiar, the vision is blurred. You're driving under deception.
Driving under deception leads to the cycle of confusion.
You made a decision under false pretenses that are now keeping you in the only place confusion can take you, more confusion. You're stuck at the fork, you don't know what to do.
What you do in a time of confusion? Seek God, seek clarity.
We will get in the thick of it next Wednesday in the podcast.
Take Care,
Taylar
